Microneedling
Microneedling Treatmen
You can have clear, wrinkle-free skin
Microneedling is a new and innovative technique which will enhance the appearance of your skin without the need for invasive surgery. The Microneedling will give you improved skin texture and tone whilst tightening your pores and giving you an overall refreshed, rejuvenated and youthful look.
Not just restricted to the face, the Microneedling can be used to treat the neck and chest where keloid, surgical or acne scars are visible.
Microneedling banishes:
- Acne Scars
- Melasma and pigmentation from sun damage and age spots
- Wrinkles on face, neck and décolleté
- Stretch Marks
What’s involved?
The Microneedling is a specially designed wand consisting of multiple needles that vertically pierce the skin causing what are known as micro-wounds. These micro injuries to the skin encourage and harness the power of the body’s innate ability to re-grow and repair the skin through the natural physiology of skin. Subsequently, new collagen and elastin are formed giving your skin a new life with improved skin texture and tone, firmness and hydration.
Imagine what it will be like to remove those little imperfections and to smooth away the signs of an aging skin, those little wrinkles and the ‘papery’ look on your neck and décolletage. Radiant, resilient skin will shed the years and your friends and family will only notice that you’re looking really fabulous!
Treatment FAQS
What is the Microneedling?
The Microneedling is an electric powered wand with very fine needles on the tip which are introduced into the upper layer of the skin super fast. This makes the procedure much more comfortable than the roller versions of micro needling. It is a medical device used in micro needling which can also be used to break down old scar tissue & to stimulate skin cells to grow. In non scarred skin, you can get amazing rejuvenation benefits as well due to the new collagen and blood vessels formation, improving the overall quality of your skin.
What is the difference to other skin rejuvenation techniques?
Unlike other methods there is NO tissue destruction and so no wounds to heal. The Microneedling significantly improves atrophic scars & improves skin texture.
What effects does the Microneedling have on the skin?
It improves the thickness & softness of the dermis as well as the epidermis. This in return improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles. It also improves hyper-pigmentation as well as hypo-pigmentation. Micro needling reduces disfiguring scars & acne scars, stimulates new collagen fibres, improves blood supply and evens out pigmentation.
Can it be performed on any skin colour?
Since Microneedling does not use thermal heat (unlike IPL & Lasers) it is safe to use on all skin types and all skin colours. There is hardly any risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
How often can the Microneedling procedure be repeated?
For skin rejuevenation we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 5 to 8 weeks between treatments. For Scar Reduction Therapy an average of 3 to 5 treatments are recommended, with an improvement of 70-80%. Unlike ablative procedures for facial skin only, the Microneedling can be used on all skin parts of the body (neck, décolleté, arms, legs, etc).
What are the side effects of a Microneedling procedure?
There are virtually no negative side effects, and none have ever been reported in over 150,000 procedures performed worldwide. You will be red for a couple of days tops.
What is the down time after a Microneedling treatment?
The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkish that may last for 12 to 24 hours on average. In order to reduce visible redness, we recommend healing minerals, peptides or hyaluronic acid after the procedure, and to protect the skin with zinc based sun screen. We also recommend the use of mineral makeup to help with the healing.
What should I avoid on my skin?
To ensure the right healing environment, for 2-3 days DO NOT use AHA’s (Glycolic Acid), Retinol, acidic or “active” ingredients.
What should I use on my skin after the treatment?
An Anti-Inflammatory Cleanser to soothe, Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate, Copper to help heal, Zinc to help heal but also to protect. We will provide you with a protocol and aftercare products if you have bought a course of Microneedlilng.
